Byfrost - Of Death

Byfrost may be marked as a blackened thrash band, but take that label and apply it to Immortal, and you might have a better idea of exactly what to expect. These guys are great, especially for being around for such a short period of time. Remember back during the huge Swedish/Finish tech death craze of the early ninties, and then they all discovered black metal? Yeah, these guys fit right in there, and with -much- better production.

Towering Filth - Encircled By Wolves

Towering Filth is a solo project formed by Matt Koch. Drums, guitar, bass, synths, vocals, mixing and mastering, he does it all. A mix of heavy/blackened violence, this EP pulls from different styles, having influences from such bands as The Abominable Iron Sloth, Unsane, Neurosis, Krallice, and Wolves in the Throne Room. I discovered Towering Filth through the music blog I write for, and from that I was also contacted by Matt to design his new logo.

Time for battle compilation!

As far as free music goes, angrierchairs has been providing! As my internet providers are fuck ups and my parents are soon to be going through messy divorce, time to upload stuff is pretty hard but my friends at Einsam Vuk (and also the station i dj at) have gave out this completely free compilation entitled 'Time For Battle'.

Full of heavy hits, pagan vibes, folky black death metal thingies and all sorts it's definately worth checking out, featuring bands like Noctem and stuff it's a great way to discover some awesome bands (Like Noctem, whos album was the 1st album post i ever did here)
