Decided to re-post this gem as I've been listening to Dax pretty much all day.
Agents of Oblivion was an American alternative rock band from Louisiana that evolved from the ashes of Acid Bath. Fronted by Dax Riggs, their sound encapsulated psychedelic rock and blues-rock elements creating swamp rock.

“We're bringing art back to music and rock back to rock n' roll. We're putting the Devil in a sweet red dress and heels made for cloven hooves and makin' God dance with him until they put their differences aside and make sweet, blasphemous love in plain sight. We know what the people need even if they don't want it yet.”
Yep, that's right folks. WH Monks is at it again. When Gay Paris formed a year ago, they were telling anyone in earshot that that they were too sweet for the Devil to lick and too damn hot for God to dance to. Having insulted both ends of the divine spectrum, they've only got themselves to thank for the wild ride that they've been on. From fire in the south to floods in the north, the irrepressible foursome has been shaking their collective derriere in the face of decency all over the countryside (and doing a damn good job of it if you believe what people are saying).
“If Sabbath was injected like cortisone into Tom Waits' rump then Gay Paris is what he would barf!” Don't let the name fool you, this is a rockin album and that quote sums it up nicely.

Cactus is an American hard rock supergroup, formed in 1970.Cactus was initially conceived as early as late 1969 by the Vanilla Fudge rhythm section of bassist Tim Bogert and drummer Carmine Appice with guitarist Jeff Beck and singer Rod Stewart (also from the already dissolved Jeff Beck Group). However, Beck had an automobile accident and was out of the music scene for over a year and Stewart joined Ronnie Wood in Faces. Early 1970 Appice and Bogert brought in blues guitarist Jim McCarty from Mitch Ryder's Detroit Wheels and The Buddy Miles Express, and singer Rusty Day (born Russell Edward Davidson) from Amboy Dukes.
This line-up managed three albums (Cactus, One Way...Or Another and Restrictions) before intraband troubles led to McCarty quitting at the end of 1971. Shortly afterwards Day was fired from the group. The fourth and last Cactus album ('Ot 'N' Sweaty) featured original rhythm section Bogert and Appice joined by Werner Fritzschings on guitar, Duane Hitchings on keyboards and Peter French (ex-Leaf Hound and Atomic Rooster) on vocals.

The Animals were an English music group of the 1960s formed in Newcastle upon Tyne during the early part of the decade, and later relocated to London. Known for their gritty, bluesy sound and deep-voiced frontman Eric Burdon – as exemplified by their number one signature song "The House of the Rising Sun" as well as by hits such as "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" and "It's My Life" – the band balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm and blues-oriented album material. They became known in the U.S. as part of the British Invasion.

Black Pistol Fire are a rock and roll duo originally from Toronto, Canada, but are now based out of Austin, Texas. Their wild and energetic rock-and-roll sound has been described as a mix of classic southern rock and garage punk, garnering comparisons to early Kings of Leon, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Black Keys, and Clutch. It’s clear that the band’s sound spans many different eras and subgenres, relying on a classic rock and roll sound that has been updated for our modern times.

Gorilla
is a stoner rock band from Italy. Influences are clear to see, Budgie, Blue Cheer, Grand Funk Railroad, MC5, but played with a rough 'street punk' Motorhead, Pink Fairies, Crushed Butler attitude and style, and an authentic 'vintage' feel and sound.
