Good UK 12" this, makes excellent use of the chicken yellow break, a real toe tapper. The flipside is not too shabby either.

Fairly mediocre production by Richie Rich and the emceeing skills are non existent but alright if you're a completist. I bought this in HMV in 1990 purely because Richie Rich's name was on it. I don't have it anymore. Yes, I'm a UK completist.

Krispy 3 - Coming Through Clear

K3's debut single and their best record in my opinion. Thje first airing of this 12" for me came courtesy of good old John Peel and just thinking now it's difficult to believe that it's 20 years old this year and also that I was still listening to JP in 1990 because National Fresh with Mike Allen must've been around by then but I don't remember him playing this one. Maybe National Fresh had finished by then? Can't remember, not an issue either 'cos I bought the wax and it still sounds dope. And what about the sample too? To my knowledge, no-one else has used that one since. Anyone know where it's lifted from?

3rd Bass - Steppin' To The AM (Remix)

Excellent remix by by DJ Crypt(?) of their debut single. The B-side tracks were remixed by CJ Mackintosh and Dave Dorrell who appeared to be in demand back around this time. I think I like this more then the original. Well, today I do. There was another remix by 3rd Bass themselves which was included on this 12" single which I will get around to if anyone's interested as this one appears to be incomplete unless it's a different version to the one I have.

MC Wac - Murder 1

Two things always puzzled me about this record. Why does the B-side have a much heavier production and secondly, why did he choose that name? Just a vocal and instrumental on this one, straight up gangsta rap straight outta East Anglia.
