All Pigs Must Die is a heavy metal band composed of Kevin Baker of the The Hope Conspiracy and Ben Koller of Converge in addition to Adam Wentworth and Matt Woods of Bloodhorse. The former of which is also a part of Acid Tiger. All Pigs Must Die is signed to Nonbeliever Records, an imprint label of Shirts & Destroy. Their debut EP, which was recorded at Kurt Ballou's GodCity Studio, was released in October 2010. In December 2010 the band began recording for their second release, again with Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio. In March 2011 it was announced that their upcoming full length would be titled "God Is War" and that the band had signed with Southern Lord.... and well here it is!

Bad Luck is the 3rd studio album by Mathcore/Grindcore/Hardcore trio Ed Gein.
Despite this being long-awaited and in production for some time, it's a lot....less complex than you'd expect. Their earlier stuff was chaotic, time signature crazy grindcore pretty much.
This new album is like a hardcore band on steriods, played on fast forward. I still love it, it's excellent! But if you're a fan of the 'old' Ed Gein, you may be disappointed, you silly bastard.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, lifes been a bit hectic as usual, and ill be away from my computing area for a week give or take. I figured I would post some things that are more appealing generally than my usual so everyone can get some good tunes to sample before my week off.
The Secret plays a form of hardcore black sluge that I would say is hard to replicate. There are passages that could remind one of Mastodon, but the very next track is nasty, filled with haunting melodies that Marduk could create. This album keeps it fresh and interesting throughout. Definitely worthy of any metal heads shelf space, but ill let you guys vote with your downloads.

Agnostic Front is an American hardcore punk band that formed in New York City in 1980. The band began playing hardcore punk similar to their contemporaries, and were thrust to the forefront of the burgeoning New York hardcore scene in the mid-1980s with their widely regarded 1984 classic Victim in Pain before evolving to incorporate thrash metal elements into their music. By the late '90s, Agnostic Front had signed with Epitaph Records and adopted an Oi! sound before growing into a crossover metallic hardcore hybrid similar to bands like Blood for Blood.

The Fall of Troy was an American rock trio from Mukilteo, Washington. The trio consisted of Thomas Erak (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards), Andrew Forsman (drums, percussion) and Frank Ene (bass, backing vocals)
The trio was characterized by a technical, intricate style, known for Erak's sporadic guitar riffs and their alternation between clean vocals and harsh screams. Over the course of their career of about eight years, the group has released four full-length albums, one EP, and one single. Prior to The Fall of Troy's formation, when each member was about 17 years old, all three founding members were in another group named The 30 Years War, who released two EPs.

Love them or hate them, here's another masterpiece from the Noise Thrashers of Converge. I can go ahead and try to describe this band's sound but really, it's impossible. I will just say that it is some really, really pissed off Hardcore mixed with Metal and Noise. Obligatory listen to everyone who reads this and is into Extreme Metal, the rougher side of Punk, or just likes crushingly heavy music.

Converge's Axe To Fall sounds like the Mathcore soundtrack to being fucking pissed off. Melvins are an American rock band that formed in 1983.
They usually perform as a trio, but in recent years have performed as a four piece with two drummers. Since 1984, singer and guitarist Buzz Osborne (also known as King Buzzo) and drummer Dale Crover have been the band's constant members. They are said to be "The Godfathers of grunge music." The band was named after a supervisor at a Thriftway in Montesano, Washington, where Osborne also worked as a clerk. "Melvin" was despised by other employees, and the band's members felt it to be an appropriately ridiculous name.
