Barrows are a post rock/metal band from Los Angeles, California. And what a band they are. This is the best instrumental album i've heard all year. For fans of: Latitudes, Pelican, And So I Watch You From Afar.
The numbers speak for themself and the most downloaded albums i've uploaded have been post rock/metal ones, so for you loyal fans of this genre, this is a
MUST HAVE.... Album of the Year?

Bloodiest craft epic tracks that flow gracefully and methodically from crushing walls of sound to moments of fragility. Influenced both by the sounds of 90s Chicago underground rock scene as well as heavy music titans like Neurosis and Swans, Bloodiest's debut album ‘Descent’ sounds vast, symphonic and ultimately heavy.

Heres a little band thats more shoegaze than black metal, but still great. Compared to big names such as Amesoeurs or Alcest, this band can stand toe to toe with em. Not uploading Any of the music, the artist's blog has some links for listening and such and tons of it is up on youtube. Give em a try and support the band!

Long Distance Calling is a band from Muenster, Germany (sorry about that umlaut), and they play a post rock/metal thats hard to describe. Mostly they have no lyrics for their material, and it changes from a sort of progressive, borderline jazz sound, to a more epic all encompassing sound. If you've heard of bands such as God is an Astronaut or 65daysofstatic, this is definately a band that would hold your interest. I currently only have more recent works, a self-titled CD released in 2011 and a live album recorded in 2010. Enjoy!

Formed initially as Everest in late 2005, Iron Thrones is a band from Minneapolis that consists of Adam Clemans, Steven Henningsgard, Curtis Parker and Peter Clarke. They have one album out (Visions Of Light; which I plan to upload later on) and an EP (this one); both of them self-released. Iron Thrones won the No Label Needed Contest that was organized by Scion so, for the first time ever probably, a band deserving to win actually did win a big competition, and this EP here is the result of said contest. Seriously, the more I listen to this, the more I like it!
Some describe Iron Thrones' sound as similar to the bastard baby between Opeth and post-metal bands such as Cult Of Luna, and they would be right. Iron Thrones simply slays, starting this EP with the song "Like A Moth To Flame", which is honestly one of the best songs I have heard, the whole thing keeps on progressing with their brilliant mixture of Progressive Death Metal and Post-Metal. We have some beautiful textures and then a second later comes a riff that crushes you away. Also, combining clean voices, harsh vocals more akin to Hardcore and deep growls, the vocal section is as varied as the rest of the instruments and everything works out greatly. An amazing record on all fronts, check this out IMMEDIATELY.
320 KBPS, one of the most sweet EPs there are around from an upcoming band, downloading it with permission of one of the members of the band -who gladly allowed me to upload this here-, and having an ear-orgasm, there is no reason to not support this.
Once you are done listening repeatedly to this album, visit their Facebook page, their Twitter, buy their stuff from their site, go see them live, or show some support in any way that you possibly can, seriously, these guys deserve it.

Following up her much lauded debut solo record The Bad Wife, Julie Christmas and Candiria Guitarist John LaMacchia offer up two new tracks for innovative online music label Coextinction Recordings. Heavy, intense, smart and brutal, these new songs ‘Spread For Hiding’ and ‘He’ push beyond the limits of genre and expectation.

The Fucking Champs are a three-piece progressive rock band from San Francisco, California. They are known for their heavy metal appeal, based largely around shifting time signatures, guitar harmonies, and lots of rhythm. Most songs are instrumental. They are currently signed to Drag City. They have also collaborated with Trans Am and the two have recorded albums together as TransChamps and The Fucking Am. Founded in Santa Cruz in the early 1990s, the band was initially called The Champs, but added the "Fucking" to their name because The Champs had been used by a band in the late 1950s.

Helms Alee is a Seattle three-piece formed in 2007 by Ben Verellen (Harkonen, Roy, These Arms Are Snakes) and is completed by Dana James and Hozoji Margullis.
The band combines heavy rock with melodic arrangements and seems to have an ear for excellent composing. All members of the band exchange lead vocals duties and occasionally teams up for harmonies.
