Uncanny - The Harmony Of Nature

I'm trying to think of something you may not have heard or even heard of so I went for this. First exposure for me was on one of Disorda's monthly Suspect Packages Radio Shows and he did get a copy in not long afterwards but i missed it and finally copped one mid-ish last year for the princely sum of 2 quid, (which is not what some folk think it's worth today. are they for real?)
I think it's a dope record, reminds me a little of Nas's 'One Love' and I like that one too. I wouldn't drop 500 sheets on it if I didn't have a copy though. Maybe a fiver..

Silver Bullet - Never Authorise Apocalypse

Been after this 7" for a bit now, finally managed to win a copy a few weeks ago and for the princely sum of 2 quid which I thought was none too shabby considering it's pretty scarce these days and you can only get this track on the b-side of the Ben Chapman remix of 'Ruff Karnage' in the 7" format. It's a corker of a tune and if you've not heard it get ready as I would suggest that it's one of his best recordings. So, b-side wins yet again (the a-side is shite) and to top it off I ripped it at 320kbps.

First Down - Mad Dogs & Englishmen EP

Somebody made a request for some First Down a while back and I've eventually got around to uploading this and only this as it's the only wax I have by them but it's a corker. There's some real bass heavy tracks on here, especially on 'Lessons In Agression' which you will be pleased to know is my pick for tune of the week. Another thing worth mentioning is the instrumental selection on the flip which is one track on the label but there are actually about five or six short bursts of 'Advanced Instrumentality' so I split them with letters of the alphabet beginning from the letter 'A' onwards so it's not random or confusing. Oh and I ripped this at 320kbps too so it'll knock your socks off.

Meta-4 - The Real Thing

Not much I can say about this record really. I think they're from Manchester but I can't be certain. If I was to choose a favourite it would have to be 'Crackdown' but all four cuts aren't really breaking any boundaries musically and are 'middle of the road' in my humblest of opinions. Oh, and Chock Ice has to be rapper's name of the week.

Bushkiller - 92 Salute

It's no secret that Sirus & Gemini took their name from their below par topiary skills. '92 Salute' is all about the first 92 they attempted and then decided to quit. 'Bushkiller Draw' on the other hand is where they went back to basics and sketched out their plans before just jumping right in there with all shears blazing. They got much, much better, or at least that's what I heard.
Gemini rocked the hardest for me, no nonsense rhyming and his style was unique. HHC conducted a brief interview with Hardnoise (which I bought just for that) and it turned out that Gemini was on his bloody holidays so he didn't contribute! They could've called him on the phone. Someone must know his cell number. If he has one. I don't have one. I'm not a rapper though.

Unanimous Decision - Making A Living

No label scan for this one as I got the test pressing. You'll notice from the sticker that everything is on side B so that's even more scarce, right? There's other writing on the sleeve and for anyone interested it was released 21st February 1991. Excellent piece of wax, I really liked these guys.

PD Three - Syncopated Noisy Music

And now for some classic 90s jazzy flavour from UK heroes DJ Biznizz & DJ Pogo. I bought this test press off ebay some years ago now, looks like some kinda French issue or something but the tracklist is the same as the commercial release. Side A's offerings are instrumentals with the B-side coming with the vocal stylings of Jeopardy who also appeared on a cut called 'Non De Plume' off the Gutter Snypes 'Trials Of Life' EP from '94. 'Breaking The Silence is my personal fave, great hammond organ sample, although 'A2' would come a close second. An excellent record and worth tracking down if you still dig the vinyl stuff.
