Somebody made a request for some First Down a while back and I've eventually got around to uploading this and only this as it's the only wax I have by them but it's a corker. There's some real bass heavy tracks on here, especially on 'Lessons In Agression' which you will be pleased to know is my pick for tune of the week. Another thing worth mentioning is the instrumental selection on the flip which is one track on the label but there are actually about five or six short bursts of 'Advanced Instrumentality' so I split them with letters of the alphabet beginning from the letter 'A' onwards so it's not random or confusing. Oh and I ripped this at 320kbps too so it'll knock your socks off.

More NSO Force, this time from 1994 and I think I would have to single this one out to be my least favourite apart from
'400 years' which I never actually bought but I was never overly impressed with that particular tune either. I think that one might've only been available on a promo pressing, I only ever saw the white label, maybe someone could clarify this?

For Doctor Okeh (and you), apologies for the label photo, I didn't have a scanner when I took this and I don't have the vinyl anymore. I also appear to only have a scan of side 1 so if there are more versions on the b-side then it looks like I didn't rip 'em before ebay-ifying it. I like the Teddy Pendergrass sample, that makes the record for me.

Prime Cuts's debut outing on wax is a decent effort and not too difficult to pick up if you look hard enough, the vinyl I mean. Just two cuts on here, vocal and instrumental, it's also considered a
crown jewel.

I think this was quite possibly the last record I bought from the old Warp records shop in Sheffield before it's demise sometime around 1994-95. I bought it without giving it a spin first and the sticker they put on there just said 'UK Hip Hop' and I remember getting it mainly because there was nothing else to buy at the time as the hip hop section was being eaten up quickly by the dreadfully awful house music section. Bristol churned out some good stuff over the years and although I don't think it's 3PM's finest release, (check '3PM' and the DJ track 'lynx, quite frankly'), it's a decent example of the UK style of the time and worth a listen if only due to it's 'rare' status nowadays, (I sold my copy just this week for twice as much as I paid which was a little disappointing but a sound investment nonetheless).
