That's right, act like you know. Disposing of Universal Music Group artist promo CDs is now classified as piracy (and still makes you a Communist). Unauthorized distribution. I stumbled across a pending case between UMG and an eBay music collectibles vendor. Here is an excerpt:

Next time your favorite DJ tosses a promo CD from a UMG artist into the trash, he or she should be reminded that the music industry behemoth considers such disposal an "unauthorized distribution" that's tantamount to piracy.
