Dead Prez // Hip Hop [Diplo Remix]

Self-explanatory. Diplo tackles yet another Hip Hop classic, and actually do justice to the original work. More often than not, you run the risk of these kinds of reworks being absolutely awful. From something as basic as the vocal not being in time, to a colossal failure where it's freaking sacrilegious to think they would've gotten away with it.

Lucky for us, and for Diplo, this is certainly not the latter. I'd venture to say that this is probably has something to do with Scion, if it isn't an out-right bootleg.

Flylo gets absolutely sick with it on his flip of the Dilla, Talib, & Tip collab, Lightworks. Talk about a vibe that just makes you get screw-faced. Just mean. Pick this one up on limited vinyl release backed with his reworks of Shadows of Tomorrow and Oizo's $tunt$; and some RJD2 for good measure. Only 500 copies worldwide, so get on that, quickly. I am.

I thought I posted the Stunt remix before, but I hadn't. It's ridiculous, playlisted for months.

Ferocious is one of the many adjectives I would use to describe Guilty Simpson. Among one of the game's most underrated emcees, he is exemplary proof of what a unique lyricist should sound like -- in my opinion. There are quite a few unique lyricists out there, I'm not arguing that, but there are far too many that sound the same; and Guilty Simpson isn't one of them.

I've been listening to a lot of Doom lately, and I know several of these posts have shown up in the wake of homies flaugin-ass moves. Although, this wouldn't be the first for Doom, sending out some fake-ass motherfucker to front and pose and him -- but why? I still don't get it. Not at all. Shit, I do my thing as a drum and bass DJ, and I love to rock a crowd. Why the fuck is this guy fakin' on the funk, when he know his shit is nice? Why?
