The Compendium Archive

Posted by admin on Sunday, April 4, 2010

Despite their style being firmly grounded in the dark metal genre, Agalloch has always been a band who prefers experimentation over settling on a niche. The result has been three full-lengths and a handful of EPs that have bridged the gap between gothic doom, black metal, neo-folk, post rock, and industrial/ambient soundscapes. The band has earned a rabid cult following over the years due in part to their artistic & independent attitude, elusive aura, and scarce but volatile live performances. Limited to 250 hand-numbered copies.
Released on the Vernal Equinox of March 2010. Disc 1: Tracks 1-3 taken from "From Which of This Oak" Tracks 4-6 taken from "Of Stone, Wind and Pillor" Tracks 7-8 taken from "Promo '98" Disc 2: Contains assorted works & rarities.
