We're Only In It For The Spirit is a drone/ambient music album, and it's disturbing as fuck. That pretty comprises what needs to be said about this album; from the low, dissonant rhythms dancing over a big, long treble drone. It has got the right amount of melody to keep stuff interesting and avoid falling into Sunn O)))-isms, adding some chants for a good measure of trippy-ness, yet still being inviting and making sure that you never get enough of it. This album makes me feel sick and uncomfortable, and I, honestly, love it; feels like playing Silent Hill 1 on the PS1 all over again. With that said, if you are still reading this review, then you probably want to get this album, so don't get your panties in a bunch and do it.
