Everybody Out!

Posted by admin

Everybody Out! is a rock band formed in 2007 by former Dropkick Murphys guitarist Rick Barton and former The Dead Pets and Lost City Angels frontman Sweeney Todd. Despite Sweeney Todd being from the UK, the band is primarily based out of Boston, Massachusetts. The duo personally financed the release of 2 EPs before signing to Taang! Records. Their eponymous debut LP was released on April 8, 2008. Various friends and musicians contributed to the record but the band's most current lineup is Barton and Todd, along with Mike McMillen (lead guitar), Sean Laforce (bass), and Kevin Garvin (drums), all previously from the Boston area Metalcore band On Broken Wings. Recently, Sweeney Todd has left the band. While rumors fly as to who his replacement will be, no one has been announced at this time.

The Pogues are an Irish rock band, formed in 1982 and fronted by Shane MacGowan. The band reached international prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. MacGowan left the band in 1991 due to drinking problems but the band continued first with Joe Strummer and then with Spider Stacy on vocals before breaking up in 1996. The band reformed in 2001, and has been playing regularly ever since, most notably on the US East Coast around St Patrick's Day and across the UK and Ireland every December. Blood or Whiskey Discography

I ment to post all of these earlier in the month, so you all could have some good Celtic tunes to celebrate the 17th with. Oh well, I forgot and I still have them, so it's time to distribute. I promise that I will focus on some metal after these, I swear it!

Blood or Whiskey is an Irish punk/folk band from Leixlip, County Kildare, Republic of Ireland. The band was formed in September 1993 taking strong influence from Shane MacGowan, as well as The Pogues and The Clash. The band originally had problems with their non-traditional music style among native Irish fans and released their first album Blood or Whiskey in 1996. Several years of touring followed before the release of No Time to Explain which was followed by a tour of the US.

Flogging Molly Discograpy

Posted by admin on Saturday, July 24, 2010

Ok I'm going to mix it up a bit. Some of you likes my Parliament and Funkadelic post, and seeing as I have been moving into punk (as per requests), I am making the next step: folk punk.

Flogging Molly is one of my favorite bands, they play celtic punk - that is punk rock with traditional instruments and themes. Most of their songs are very quick and lively, and as we've already ascertained, having nothing but metal makes us dull at parties. Just listen to them, you will be impressed, I have gotten several of my friends hooked on this group (read: my non metal friends), as it reaches a much wider audience. Give it a try, if you hate it then delete it and no harm, no foul. But you might enjoy it, and that would open you up to a whole new genre of music.
I'm sure I'll get more folk punk (with a heavy tipping towards the 'folk' kind, it is my heritage) out here, so stay tuned!

Swagger - 2000

Drunken Lullabies - 2002
