I didnt realize that the new Hank III release I posted yesterday was part of a four album release.
Ghost to a Ghost / Gutter Town is two albums in one, all songs were recorded in Hank III’s home studio The Haunted Ranch. The album features guest appearances by Tom Waits, Alan King (Hellstomper), Les Claypool (Primus), Dave Sherman (Wretched, Earthride), Troy Medlin (Sourvein), and Williams' dog Trooper.
3 Bar Ranch Cattle Callin is the strangest concoction this side of Mike Patton and Jello Biafra. Fathom if you will, an unholy alliance between death metal, cowpunk, grindcore and thrash, all spewed singlehandedly by Hank III with dizzying sprays of cattle auctioneering overtop. Yeah, you're reading that correctly. Jettisoned from the inexplicably rapid mouths of actual cattle callers such as Tim Dowler, Joe Coggins, Hugh and Gwynn Howell, Mitch Jordan and others, you won't believe it at face value until you put this madcap son of a gun into your player.

With their new four-track EP Is This Hell? , the duo continues their domination of the gothic country sub-genre and while it isn’t the ideal place to begin your relationship with Those Poor Bastards (see Satan is Watching or Hellfire Hymns), this is nonetheless a great release that fans will really enjoy.

Drive-By Truckers are an alternative country/Southern rock band based in Athens, Georgia, though three out of six members (Patterson Hood , Mike Cooley, and Shonna Tucker) are originally from The Shoals region of Northern Alabama, and the band strongly identifies with Alabama. Their music uses three guitars as well as bass, drums, and now keyboards. Like many alternative country acts, the Drive-By Truckers record in analog (using 2 inch tape). However, unlike the majority of their contemporaries, the Drive-By Truckers have consistently pushed their labels to also release the band's records in a vinyl format.

On January 1st, Hank Williams III was officially done with his long, contentious 14 year relationship with Nashville major label Curb Records, but when he left, he left with unfinished business. Sitting on a shelf somewhere inside the Curb Records complex was an album called This Ain’t Country that Hank III had turned into them for release. The ensuing legal battle over the release of the album is where the cold war between Curb and Hank III became hot. Curb sat on the album, never releasing it, and refusing to allow Hank III to release it independently or on another label. Now Curb has decided to release it many years later, as well as possibly other shelved recordings as a title called Hillbilly Joker.
Heres the best part
Hank III is saying

Lost Basement Recordings has degenerated into this: Lonesome Wyatt and the Holy Spooks will release a 3 CD set on November 2nd called "Moldy Basement Tapes." These 39 songs were written between 1998-2000 and recorded on an old four track in Wyatts' parents' moldy basement.
Prepare for over two hours of strange, dusty music to hasten the end of another dying year.

Sons Of Perdition are a gothic country band from Arkansas, similar to Those Poor Bastards.
After years of endless toil, I'm pleased to drop this slab of despair into your lap. May it break your spirit down like a tree that's soft with disease and rot, as it's done to me. Listen and lament, but never repent.
Psalms for the Spiritually Dead (2010)
"Hey chief,
I'm writing to ask that you remove the download of my album, "Psalms for the Spiritually Dead" from your page. I'd be honored if you'd keep a track or two up, if you wanted to do so. If not, that's your call.
I don't think you are, or are trying to, rip me or anybody else off. It's just that your page comes up really high on the list when Googling my album. This cuts into the cash I'm trying to raise to build my doomsday bunker. I'm sure you understand.
Your pal,
Zebulon Whatley
Sons of Perdition"
Dont you wish all artists were as chill and understanding as him. Link removed now but head on over to their myspace for a listen and to buy it!

Sarah Blackwood grew up listening to her father’s rock and roll record collection. When she was twelve years old, her father handed her an acoustic guitar, taught her the basics and the rest, as they say, is history. Her style is influenced by old country and rock music. She’s a sweetheart with an acoustic guitar singing about love, demons she has faced, and different times in her life that have brought her down. She is also the singer for the psychobilly punk band the Creepshow.

Rebel Meets Rebel was an American outlaw country/southern metal crossover project with David Allan Coe on vocals and guitar, Dimebag Darrell on guitar & back-up vocals, Rex Brown on bass, and Vinnie Paul on drums. The project resulted in the self-titled album Rebel Meets Rebel. The music was written and recorded by the band when the musicians had time aside from their other projects, including Pantera's world tour supporting Reinventing the Steel. Originally the song Rebel Meets Rebel was supposed to be released as a duet with Coe and Phil Anselmo. Another appearance on the album was Hank Williams III providing vocals on the track "Get Outta' My Life" alongside David Allan Coe.

Johnny Cash (February 26, 1932–September 12, 2003), born J. R. Cash, was an American singer-songwriter and one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Primarily a country music artist, his songs and sound spanned many other genres including rockabilly and rock and roll (especially early in his career), as well as blues, folk, and gospel. Just another random mix of christmas tunes done by the man in black
