Shining - VII Fodd Forlorare

Sorry for the lengthy absence, life gets in the way :P Luckily I've had no death threats etc but then again i would probably need to be found to recieve any XD Anyways, i meant to put this up way back but never got around to it. Newest from Shining, great album, still not as strong an album as my favorite Halmstad, but still worth a listen to.

Shining

Today I present to you the remastered edition of Shining's first album I - Within Deep Dark Chambers. Alot of history and drama in this band. Starting off they played a DSBM style (demos and early releases) but evolving into a more black n' roll feel with a bit of melancholy. At one point, the vocalist staged his own suicide, left a number to call for replacement vox and came as himself reborn through death. Lol, anything to be kvlt I guess A new album is due out in a month, and I am eagerly awaiting that release.

Vreid

From the ashes of Windir comes Vreid. Stylistically they play a mix of black metal and rock n' roll with some ambient features. If i had to compare this to some mainstream black metal I would have to go with later satyricon, but the comparison is so unjust. It's catchy, ambient, black, and grim. Black metal has a natural evolution in many ways, and I love the way this band has evolved. This is the newest album 'V'. I own more so lemme know if you like it.
