I've seen this video several times, and since my dog Dystopia (who will be contributing to this bitch soon, as a matter of fact) isn't exactly sold on the whole concept of MPC culture. I wouldn't exactly call him an MPC hater, because he isn't, he just hasn't really felt it. Perhaps it's ignorance, perhaps it's personal preference. I think that maybe if he sees how Pete Rock gets down, he'll get it. When you see the creative process, it makes sense and there is a certain something to it. The MPC is the epitome of working with what you have and is a very powerful machine within that scope. It really drives home the KISS principle. Granted, this one was done for Future Music, so it's far more polished then the Kev Brown video and I think PR explains the whole thing a lot better. Sit back and learn yourself something. It's all about PR singing Love Is a Battlefield in falsetto.
Get this, Taan.
And as an added bonus, check PR and CL rockin' the Sprite commercial circa '95, then Nas & AZ flippin' it in '97.
