While looking for appropriate members of his yet un-named band, he quickly found longtime friend Dave who played guitar for Thunderheart Machine, party comrade Marc to kick the drums and why not his own girlfriend Yasmine to play bass. After some first baby steps, and inspired by a C.O.C. song, Diablo BLVD came to life and played its first show to an appreciative crowd. In March 2006 Alex asked Andries to reinforce them on guitar. Andries had already left a significant mark on the European scene with this hardcore-punk bands The Setup and Thumbs Down, and was more than eager to join this whirlpool of creativity.
