All started back in 2000 in the “German Bay Area” called Ruhr District Agamendon came into being out of the idea to combine raw power and melodic delicacy. From the beginning the varieties of the bandmember´s individual influences shape Agamendon´s sound. In their own Sounds-of-Steel-Studio the band produced their debut album called “The Toxic Way of Life” in 2004 and their second release “Nuclear Rodeo” in 2008.
Getting the energy of their music on stage is of great importance to the band. To prepare for their intense live-performances Agamendon rehearse in an old World War II bunker in Castrop Rauxel.

Absurd and bizarre fantasies are the source for Agamendon´s lyrics. The band has a critical look at horrifying imaginations to support the brute and brutal element in the music. Means of black humour and eye-twinkling exaggerations support Agamendon´s lyrical ideas.
The inspiring power of this grotesque strange world is the creative source of Agamendon´s sound. The band is named after a spaceship from a well-known science fiction series to make their musical adventure trip without consideration of stylistic limitations most obvious.
