Skateboard P and Common come together for this naaaasty funky slamming beat with painfully obvious Soul Sonic Force overtones. This one comes from Common's forthcoming album, Invincible Summer, and will definitely get the b-boys going.
It took me a few listens to get into it, but seriously, musically speaking, anything that Pharrell and the Neptunes have their hands in is golden. Forward thinking and nuff mass appeal. It's a tough line to straddle, but they do it, and well.
I need the instrumental joint of this, enjoy.
