In anticipation of new Wu-Tang and Nas albums, Loud comes through with the sneak peek action. Maybe age has changed my ear a little bit, but I'm really into both of these. The Wu joint gets deep, and Nas comes through with the story-telling abilities. With this promising glimpse, the rest of both these albums are definitely something to look forward to. The Wu's 8 Diagrams marks the entire group's return to the joint album, and the Nas' Greatest Hits concludes his contract with his label.
The Wu-Tang joint is a collabo with George Harrison's son Dhani Harrison, who plays guitar on the track with Chili's Pepper's John Frusciante and Erykah Badu on chorus. It's on some serious vibes, but it's definitely forward thinking.
There is some controversy floating around the Beatles "sample" clearance, but it's a trivial miscommunication. Ok, so it's not the original sample, it's the part replayed. Everyone is still getting paid anyway, calm down. Someone at Wu-Tang got excited and misspoke. Who cares?
Speaking of who cares, the date has also been pushed back to December 4th, to coincide with Siagon's album release. Wonderful.
The beats and flows are dope, enjoy.
Wu-Tang - While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Nas - Surviving The Times
I couldn't help but laugh during Ghost's verse though... That bitch is crazyyyy... Youz a bitch.
BONUS:
I just stumbled on the trailer for the new Wu, enjoy.
