Talking Heads Select Discography

Posted by admin on Friday, February 4, 2011

Talking Heads was an American rock band formed in 1974 in New York City and active until 1991. The band comprised David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison. Auxiliary musicians also frequently made appearances in concert and on the group's albums.
The New Wave musical style of Talking Heads combined elements of punk rock, avant-garde, pop, funk, world music and art rock. Frontman and songwriter David Byrne contributed whimsical, esoteric lyrics to the band's songs, and emphasized their showmanship through various multimedia projects and performances. Critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine describes Talking Heads as being "one of the most critically acclaimed bands of the '80s, while managing to earn several pop hits."

The Kinks were an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London, by brothers Ray and Dave Davies in 1964. Categorized in the United States as a British Invasion band, The Kinks are recognized as one of the most important and influential rock acts of the era. Their music was influenced by a wide range of genres, including rhythm and blues, British music hall, folk, and country. Ray Davies (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Dave Davies (lead guitar, vocals) remained members throughout the group's 32-year run. Original members Pete Quaife (bass guitar, vocals) and Mick Avory (drums and percussion) were replaced by John Dalton in 1969 and Bob Henrit in 1984, respectively. Dalton was in turn replaced by Jim Rodford in 1978. Keyboardist Nicky Hopkins accompanied the band during studio sessions in the mid-1960s. Later, various keyboardists, including John Gosling and Ian Gibbons, were full-time members.

For Miley fuckin Cyrus!

Can't Be Tamed is the third studio album by American recording artist Miley Cyrus. It was first released on June 18, 2010 by Hollywood Records to Germany, and June 21, 2010 to most of Europe and the United States. Writing and recording for Can't Be Tamed commenced while Cyrus was touring on her 2009 Wonder World Tour, and the second disc of the album's deluxe edition features backstage interviews and nineteen live performances from a concert. The albums's producers include longtime collaborators Antonina Armato, Tim James, and John Shanks. Musically, Can't Be Tamed ranges from acoustic ballads to dance-pop numbers. Taste is subjective. What you like your neighbor may not. Angrychairs has never really dedicated itself to just one genre or scene, In fact some people enjoy the quirky off beat random shit that does make an appearance every now and then. If you don't like something, why bother focusing on it? Bashing it, hating it, Its a waste of YOUR time, not ours. What's posted is posted, liked by some, hated by some. I do not need to hear your bitching about genres, just move the fuck along to what you like. If you don't like anything here, then go find a different blog. Understand?

With that all said, HERES SOME HANNAH FUCKIN MONTANA.
