It's been a while since I did a comp for an unsung hero of late 80's Hip Hop. Here are twelve tracks by obscure Brooklyn rapper MC Mitchski. His most famous record is the 1987 Juice Crew dis 'Brooklyn Blew Up The Bridge', but even that is a pretty small foot note in the annals rap beef history.
Although he dubbed himself the 'Rappin' Comedian' in retrospect Mitchski was much more than a couple of gimmick spits, he had a real charisma and sense of fun a lot of today's rappers could learn a thing from. He also produced the majority of these tracks himself for what appears to be his own record label 'Ski Records'. Backed up by his Beatbox MB (The Human Radio) and his DJ Dashan, Mitchski deserves some long overdue love.
