This post started just to put sHEAVY's new album, The Golden Age Of Daredevils, on Angry Chairs, figuring that the rest of the discography was already up here. Looking up the band I discovered that this is not the case. So this really easy post became more elaborate very quickly. Oh well, that's what I'm here for.
sHEAVY is a stoner/doom band that echoes the sound of Black Sabbath. While not as dark, the singers voice and the doom style are a direct throwback to the great Sabbath. This is one of my favorite bands, just discovering them within the past year. I love the vocalists voice, and the lyrics and the sounds. The albums are really 50-50 on quality; some songs are amazing while some are kinda crappy. But the ones that stick out are worth it.
