From the label responsible for some of the greatest moments in Jazz history comes a compilation highlighting those moments that essentially molded Hip Hop history. This new release, Droppin' Science pools together all of the rich source material that Golden Age producers drew influence from. Among those are David Axelrod, Ronnie Foster, and Joe Williams as sampled by Dr. Dre, A Tribe Called Quest, and Kool G Rap & Polo. Blue Note A&R VP Eli Wolf credits the 1988 Marley Marl song for the album title.
