There's nothing I love more than cats who understand the inherent value in not taking themselves to seriously (as you can see, posin' with his grandma, who rips on him in almost every album). Enter J-Zone, the fuckin' don of clownin' on everything. From the original J-Zone Instrumental Volumes, to Music For Tu Madre, to Sick of Being Rich, to a Job Ain't Nuttin But Work. This cat always manages to slap up some simple but bangin' beats topped off with sharp and witty flows. Some think he's corny, but I can dig it. He stands out, Purple Cow steelo. He's a love him or hate him kind of rapper, but he openly admits that. Hell, he pretty much tries you every chance he gets. It's straight comedy. If you haven't heard, definitely get on that.
