The Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a 1975 British musical comedy film that parodies science fiction and horror films. Still in limited release 34 years after its premiere, it has the longest-running theatrical release in film history. It gained notoriety as a midnight movie in 1977 when audiences began participating with the film in theaters across the United States. "Rocky Horror" is the first movie from a major film studio, such as 20th Century Fox, to be in the midnight movie market. Widely known by mainstream audiences, it has a large international following and is one of the most well known and financially successful midnight movies of all time. In 2005, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
All that is cool and all but I'm giving you the soundtrack, not the film. So really, why am i putting all that info here?

Bobby "Boris" Pickett

"Monster Mash" is a 1962 novelty song and the best-known song by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. The song was released as a single on Gary S. Paxton's Garpax Records label in October 1962 along with a full-length LP called The Original Monster Mash, which contained several other monster-themed tunes. The "Monster Mash" single reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on October 20 of that year, just in time for Halloween. It has been a perennial holiday favorite ever since.

Don Hinson and the Rigormorticians

Here is one time Vegas radio deejay Don Hinson's "Monster Dance Party" picture sleeve 45. Produced by Gary Paxton (Monster Mash) it's probably best remembered for "Riboflavin Flavored, Non Carbonated, Poly-Unsaturated Blood" which was covered by goth punkers 45 Grave in 1980. Although the rest of the album should not be overlooked.
Burn this and play it at any halloween party tonight, everyone will love it. (I Hope)

Nightmare Revisited

Nightmare Revisited is a cover album of songs from the 1993 film The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was released on September 30, 2008 by Walt Disney Records. In addition to the album's eighteen covers are two re-recordings by original composer Danny Elfman, of the "Opening" and "Closing" tracks. One song featured on the album, Marilyn Manson's "This Is Halloween", was previously released nearly two years earlier, on the reissue of The Nightmare Before Christmas: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack which, featuring five covers of songs from the film, acted as a precursor to Nightmare Revisited. The album also features the last song Korn recorded before entering their hiatus, their cover of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws".

Alestorm Discography

Alestorm are a power/folk metal band from Perth, Scotland. Their music is characterised by a pirate theme, for which reason they describe their style as "True Scottish Pirate Metal", (a joke in reference to True Norwegian Black Metal). The band formed under the name Battleheart in 2004. After releasing two EPs, they were signed by Napalm Records in 2007 and renamed themselves to Alestorm.

1349 Discography

1349 is a Norwegian black metal band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 1997. The band's musical style and songwriting is modeled after that of bands from the Second Wave of Norwegian black metal of the early 1990s, and notably does not incorporate synthesizers. As a result, 1349 have been compared to the early incarnations of Enslaved, Darkthrone, Immortal, Marduk and Mayhem, previously being described as much heavier than most other black metal bands. The band rejected the more commercial style of black metal exhibited by some bands, however their latest studio album Revelations of the Black Flame shows a "new musical direction" for 1349, as it often incorporates a more ambient and "slower sound."
The name 1349 comes from the year the Black Death reached Norway.

Founded by singer and guitarist Robb Flynn and bassist Adam Duce, and has only had 4 personnel changes since its inception 17 years ago. The current lineup of the band comprises Flynn (vocals, guitar), Duce (bass), Phil Demmel (guitar), and Dave McClain (drums). Machine Head is one of the pioneering bands in the New Wave of American Heavy Metal.

Sixty Watt Shaman is an American stoner metal band based in Baltimore, Maryland. They recorded and released their first studio album in 1998 and reportedly broke up in 2003. There are some rumors to whether or not this is false, with hints of a new album in the works being dropped. Furthermore, they are active on MySpace and played at a small festival April 28, 2007 at the Ottobar in Baltimore, Maryland for a reunion show. As of April 2008, almost nothing has been heard about new material or touring.

Cradle of Filth Discography

Cradle of Filth are an English extreme metal band from Suffolk, formed in 1991. Their particular subgenre has provoked a great deal of discussion. The band's musical style evolved from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic black metal and other extreme metal styles, while their lyrical themes and imagery are heavily influenced by gothic literature, poetry, mythology and horror films. The band has successfully broken free from its original niche by courting mainstream publicity (often to the chagrin of its early fanbase), and this increased accessibility has brought coverage by the likes of Kerrang! and MTV, frequent main stage appearances at major festivals such as Ozzfest, Download and even the mainstream Sziget Festival, and in turn a more "commercial" image. They have sometimes been perceived as Satanic by casual observers, although their outright lyrical references to Satanism are few and far between, and use of Satanic imagery has arguably always had more to do with the shock value than any seriously-held beliefs. According to a 2006 issue of Metal Hammer magazine, they are the most successful British heavy metal band since Iron Maiden.
